Homemade Tortilla Chips: Cooking Activity For Kids
Kids will love making their own crunchy, homemade tortilla chips by using scissors to cut the tortillas and a paintbrush to coat them with olive oil.
Servings: 32 chips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 corn tortillas
- sprinkle of salt
Preheat oven to 350°.
Use kid safe scissors to cut the tortillas into 8 triangle pieces.
Pour olive oil into a small bowl. Use a paintbrush to coat both sides of the tortilla pieces.
Place the tortilla pieces onto a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 8 minutes, rotate the baking sheet, and bake for another 7 minutes. Remove from oven when golden and crispy, about 15 minutes.
